IT Services for Special Events

Pop-up IT, stood up fast and taken down clean — so the only thing guests remember is the event.

A festival field, a fairground, a ballroom, a church hall — an event runs on connectivity that did not exist there yesterday: check-in tablets at the gate, registers taking cards, staff laptops, a livestream, and a few hundred guests looking for Wi-Fi. Pop-up IT is our service for exactly that: a temporary network designed for your event, built the day of or the day before, supported while the gates are open, and gone when you are.

The IT problems events actually have

  • Venue Wi-Fi built for a party of eighty, facing a crowd of eight hundred
  • Card readers and POS that stall when the network congests — and the line at the gate stops with them
  • Check-in and registration systems that have never been tested under a real line
  • Staff, vendors, and guests all fighting over one network and one password
  • Printers for badges, tickets, and schedules that will not stay connected
  • Nobody on site whose job is the network when it dips in the middle of the event

What Henschel does about it

  • A temporary network designed for the venue and the crowd you expect
  • Separate Wi-Fi for staff operations and for guests — guest traffic never touches the systems that run the event
  • Check-in, registration, and POS connectivity tested before the doors open
  • Printing set up and tested for badges, tickets, and day-of changes
  • Internet fitted to the site — the venue’s service, a cellular backup, or both working together
  • Our gear, our cabling, our teardown — the network leaves with us

The services that answer

How pop-up IT works, step by step

Tell us the date, the venue, and the crowd you expect. We walk the site ahead of time — or work from the venue’s plan where a walk is not possible — and design the network on paper first: where the internet comes from, where access points and cable runs go, and what check-in and the registers need. Setup happens the day before or the morning of the event, with check-in and card payment tested before the first guest arrives. During the event, support is on site: when something dips, you hand it to us and go back to running your event. When it ends, we tear down the same day, and the venue goes back to exactly how we found it.
